WILD FIRE DEFENSE SYSTEMS
As part of our promise of making insurance better, we have partnered with Wildfire Defense Systems (WDS) to provide eligible customers in BC with loss prevention and wildfire mitigation services. The service will be available to protect Family Insurance customers’ eligible personal homes, seasonal and rented (secondary) dwellings in areas threatened by wildfire at no additional cost.

IF YOU’VE BEEN DISPLACED OR EVACUATED
If you’re forced to leave your home due to the current wildfire situation, be sure to keep the receipts for your additional living expenses (e.g. hotel and food expenses). Depending on your policy, you may have coverage for these out-of-pocket expenses — ask your broker or our claims team.
